The garden of Mediterranean scrub

Punta Molara is a balcony on the seaside of Tavolara and Molara on which grows up the Mediterranean scrub garden.
From the centre of Montipitrosu and after the suburb on the way to Lu Pitrali, there is the countryside and turning on the left, one join Punta Molara.

Just in this area a portion of almost 50 hectares was used by San Teodoro municipality as for didactic garden.
In the garden it is possible to look different types of typical plants of Mediterranean scrub as red juniper, arbutus, myrtle, phyllirea, orchids, lentisk, asphodel, Montpellier rock rose, lavender and oleaster.
The zone is characterized of big granitic massifs that during sunset become rose.
